It was the 13th Annual...

JUNE 19-20, 2015

lucky #13?

The festival was great -- the weather, not so much. After a week of rain, the festival grounds were soggy. However, that didn't keep the bluegrass diehards away. Despite Friday's weather looking "iffy," the crowd was treated to a wonderful evening of music and the rain held off until the last band finished. Saturday afternoon started out great, but finished wet. All the bands were excellent and the show went on. Hey, it's a bluegrass festival! Let's do it again next year! (June 17-18, 2016)

on stage...

As always, both the Friday evening and Saturday lineups were filled with top-notch national, regional and local bluegrass performers. GREAT music was provided by:

+ Junior Sisk & Ramblers Choice - 2013 IBMA Male Vocalist of the Year!
+ Irene Kelley - Nashville's great singer/songwriter came home!
+ Springfield Exit - Great vocals and awarding-winning players from VA!
+ Lonesome Meadow - Award-winning Ohio family band returned!
+ The Allegheny Drifters - Pittsburgh's very own vocal masters!
+ Northwest Territory - Entertaining Ohio band returned!
+ Jay Armsworthy & Eastern Tradition - Solid band from MD debuted!

Our ol' buddy John Trout from WYEP-FM's "Traditional Ties" radio show and Ligonier's Jeff Bell once again served as emcees, both keeping the show on schedule and adding that "certain something" to the festivities (whatever that may be). First class sound was provided by Don, Ginger, Steve, and Jacob of Soaring Eagle Productions, Bedford, PA. (They get tons of compliments on the great sound from both the fans and performers.)

The festival benefits the Ligonier Township Volunteer Fire Department, Station #44. Their hard work, coupled with your support for them and the music, makes this a "win-win" for everybody. They deeply appreciate your attendance and your spreading the word about the festival.

The goal all along has been to make this an affordable, wholesome, family festival that provides a great bluegrass experience. Please support our sponsors who help make this possible.
