It's the 16th Annual...

JUNE 15-16, 2018

counting down the days!

Hard to believe this will be our 16th annual! We're working hard to make this another bang-up weekend of incredible music and family fun. The bands are on their way, the grounds are being prepped (despite all the recent rain), and everything is a "go." And the super-affordable ticket prices remain the same this year. Hope to see you this weekend!

on stage...

Both the Friday evening and Saturday lineups will be filled with top-notch national, regional and local bluegrass performers. GREAT music will be provided by:

+ The Highland Travelers - New "super group" of Boxcars & Sisk alums!
+ Darrell Webb Band - Chart-topping, fan-favorite national band debuts!
+ Remington Ryde - Highly entertaining Pa. favorite returns!
+ Circa Blue - Solid, dynamic band from West Virgina debuts!
+ The Allegheny Drifters - Pittsburgh's very own celebrates 15 years!
+ Hickory Bottom Band - Fine contemporary band from Bedford, PA!
+ Open Highway - Longstanding band from Columbus, OH debuts!
+ South 79 - Regional favorites from PA/NY, featuring award-winners!

Our buddy Bruce Mountjoy, long-time host of WYEP-FM's "Bluegrass Jam Session" radio show, and Ligonier's Jeff Bell will serve as emcees, both keeping the show on schedule and adding that "certain something" to the festivities (whatever that may be). First class sound will once again be provided by Don, Ginger, and Steve of Soaring Eagle Productions, Bedford, PA. (They get tons of compliments on the great sound from both the fans and performers.)

in memory of john trout...

This year's festival is being dedicated to the memory of our good buddy John Trout. WYEP-FM's host of the long-running "Traditional Ties" radio show, John was one of our festival emcees and advisors from the very beginning. His promotion of bluegrass music in western Pennsylvania spanned over 30 years. He is greatly missed.

eastman guitar raffle!

New this year we'll be raffling off a fine handcrafted, dreadnought acoustic guitar from our new friends at Eastman Guitars & Mandolins. Eastman guitars, mandolins, and fiddles are becoming increasingly popular with the bluegrass crowd and here's your chance to take home a beauty! Check out the details HERE.
